I haven’t written much on the PR referendum other than briefly mentioned I am opposed to it. Very happy to see it got defeated so decisively. Hopefully this puts the issue to rest and we can focus on other more important issues. I think as Chretien pointed out, maybe some university professors who can never get elected or some activists feel passionate about this, but regular voters saw it was a bad idea. We have a system that works so glad it stayed. Also glad it was a strong No rather than close a close one probably would have kept the issue alive. Also as a BC Liberal I was quite worried they would campaign on ignoring the result if the yes won and I think that would have looked bad, so this issue is now finished thankfully.
